Dates have become a staple in Muslim households during Ramadan. Prophet Muhammed was said to have broken his fasts by eating dates, and as such, Muslims are encouraged to follow the ways of the prophet through a blessed practice called ‘Sunnah’.
Dates contain high carbohydrate content which helps suppress sugar cravings and control one’s appetite throughout the day, which is helpful during the fasting month.
